let's make believe

A blogumentary of my life as an ordinary girl striving to live life extraordinarily. To live beautifully, dream passionately, and love completely. To fear not of failing, but rather of regret for not trying.
To be courageous. To be true.
To be me, and only me.

Anonymous asked: I noticed you were gifting out sentimental gift ideas so perhaps you can get one to me more tailored to my situation. My 4 year anniversary with my girlfriend is coming up soon, and at first I wanted to get her a nice gift, but now due to some legal troubles, I've spent more than all of my money on attorney fees. We are very serious and have seen through it all and our bond is very strong. help!

This one is going to take some time, so be prepared! (She deserves the best though, of course. hehe)

If neither of you have done this yet, scrap-book storytelling is my favorite. You’ve probably already told her a million times how you felt when you first saw her, how holding her hand made your heart flutter, and all of that good/cheesy stuff… But if you haven’t, physically putting it in words is a beautiful gesture that will surely make her smile. Four years is a LOT to document, so pick and choose the memories that make YOU remember why you love this girl. Chances are, different memories stick out for each person so it just may surprise her to learn about the small details that you have held onto over the years.

Cost: $5-10 to buy nice paper from Michaels, printing photos (optional).

Artistic Ability: 0 (really!)

Other option, though much less flexibility with text space: Websites like Shutterfly & Walgreens make nice photo books for $19+! They basically put together hardcover/softcover photo books and you can add little captions. My boyfriend got that for me last year and it still sits nicely on my desk shelf. :)

The rest is all up to you. In my opinion, your memories together are worth much more than a new necklace or an excessively fancy dinner. I wish you and your lucky girl the best!
